K-Bow

This is a really cool add-on to any stringed instrument. Even a guitar perhaps?

THe K-Bow gathers all sorts of streaming sensor data (like a wii controller) about where the bow is and uses that information for all kinds of things. ...like being able to start an stop loop recording and modulating effects parameters among anything else you can dream up.

RjDj - iPhone Generative Music

RjDj is a generative music toolkit for the iPhone that uses PD (PureData) patches as it's engine. The first version of the app comes with six scenes to play with and more scenes to download at the RjDj site. A scene is similar to a song only that the user contributes and influences it using the iPhones microphone and/or accelerometer.

Scenes can be created and shared by anyone that has PD and installed on the iPhone!!!

ReacTable - Multi Touch Interface

The reactable, is a multi-user electronic music instrument with a tabletop tangible user interface. Several simultaneous performers share complete control over the instrument by moving physical objects on a luminous table surface. By moving and relating these objects, representing components of a classic modular synthesizer, users can create complex and dynamic sonic topologies, with generators, filters and modulators, in a kind of tangible modular synthesizer or graspable flow-controlled programming language.

This instrument is being developed by a team of digital luthiers (Sergi Jordà , Martin Kaltenbrunner, Günter Geiger and Marcos Alonso), at the Music Technology Group within the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
