Games are underutilized as a serious form of media. Envision a world in which fictional game plots are boring and real world problems are where it's at. These plots could be local or global and still have the same appeal.

This Microsoft Lab project shows how muscles can be used to control basic functions of electronic devices. The applications seem pretty limited to a few commands, so I'm not so sure how far this will go. It seems inevitable that brain-tapping will be the end-all be-all; but for now this is fun to watch.
