People that don't match the music

Mark Gormley - Quote from the creator: "This is a great song, it's very very intense. We tried to make the music video that way as well". Heheh, you can't make this stuff up...it's too odd.

Quote from the creator: "This Was The First Music Video Shot Entirely in a Hurricane and it Includes Some Cool Storm Footage."

Pattern Tap - Interface Collection

This site collects and allows other to contribute images of interface elements. The thinking is that the best stuff shows up here. Currently there isn't a whole lot, but I'm sure it will only grow. Cool resource.

Exercising Robot

Exercise for robots has the opposite effect. They break down instead of get stronger. Some artist decided to illustrate this fact. Pretty funny.

Preloader museum [animation]

Check out tons of great pre-loaders from websites. They are often an after thought, but the site Pretty Loaded has a lot of good ones.

Semi-affordable exoskeleton suite

Designed by the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, contains eight motors fitted over the shoulders, elbows, back and knees to give farmers the boost they need to pull radishes, lift haystacks and other farm work.

Though the current model is a hefty 35 kg, researchers say they can halve the weight and put it on the market in two years time. Each suit will retail for between 500,000 and 1 million yen ($5,600 to $11,200). Only in Japan, folks.

More about the asteroid

The asteroid Apophis is predicted to come close to the earth in 2029. Depending on it's position at that time will determine if it strikes the earth or not on April 13, 2036.

History of the internet [animated]

Nice animation that illustrates the key milestones in getting to the internet we have now. I wish more dates were dropped as things are mentioned.
